Job Description
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a dedicated Customer Consultant to join their team. The role involves engaging with customers, providing accurate information about products and services, and ensuring all inquiries, complaints, and concerns are handled professionally and efficiently.
Minimum Requirements
Essential:
- Grade 12 / Matric (minimum 60% in English, Afrikaans, and Maths Literacy)
- At least 1 year of experience in administration or public relations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literate in MS Office
- Willing and able to work retail hours
Advantageous:
- Qualification in Administration, Customer Service, or Public Relations
- Knowledge of an additional third language
- SAP experience
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate data capturing and completion of all required documentation
- Assist customers with card balances, reports, and statements
- Manage inventory of promotional materials, application forms, and store items
- Handle transaction processing and reporting accurately
- Monitor stock control and minimize shrinkage
- Perform checkpoint reversals and verify manual point allocations
- Maintain effective internal communication within the customer service department
- Escalate customer compliments, complaints, and product queries to senior staff
- Record and manage feedback through the customer service diary
- Provide timely responses to written and email queries
- Keep management informed about all aspects of the benefits programme
- Maintain excellent telephone etiquette at all times
- Accurately recruit and capture customer information
- Coordinate in-store promotions and events
- Act as the main point of contact for customer queries and feedback
- Assist customers and direct them to relevant departments when necessary
- Ensure visibility of benefits programme signage and promotions
- Support store operations by being present on the shop floor when required
- Provide training on the benefits programme across departments
- Adhere to company policies, SOPs, and health and safety regulations

- Knowledge of POPI and the Consumer Protection Act
- Additional language skills
