Sales Representative – Value Logistics
Purpose of the Role
• The Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling Value services, with a strong focus on truck rental and cross-selling additional logistics solutions
• Drive revenue growth by identifying opportunities, building client relationships, and delivering tailored service offerings
• Support business expansion across services including logistics, linehaul, equipment, warehousing, clearing and forwarding, and express solutions
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
• Gather and analyse client transport and distribution requirements, including expenditure patterns
• Evaluate opportunities and apply strategic focus to maximise sales potential
• Understand competitor activity within the assigned area
• Build strong relationships and establish customer trust
• Identify customer needs and provide suitable service solutions and quotations
• Grow existing client base through cross-selling Value services
• Close sales deals and secure new business opportunities
• Target and develop national accounts
• Maintain a clear understanding of client contracts and service agreements
• Ensure services provided remain aligned with customer requirements
• Understand client businesses to identify growth opportunities
• Add value to every client interaction with clear objectives for each visit
• Maintain service delivery in line with Standard Operating Procedures
• Maintain frequent engagement with key decision-makers and stakeholders
• Keep product and service knowledge up to date
• Resolve customer queries efficiently, including invoices, claims, and documentation
• Present a professional image at all times
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Submit reports accurately and on time
• Complete all required sales reports within deadlines
• Meet team expectations, sales targets, and performance goals
• Assist with additional tasks as required by management
Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Proven experience in a sales environment
• Proficiency in English and Afrikaans

• Ability to assess and manage risks independently
