Purpose of the Job
The Vehicle Monitoring Coordinator is responsible for monitoring vehicle movements, managing incidents and faults, and ensuring accurate communication and reporting. The role requires strict adherence to procedures, professionalism, and a strong commitment to health, safety, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Monitoring and Incident Management
- Monitor vehicle activity in line with company procedures
- Identify, record, and report all deviations and exceptions promptly
- Ensure all alarms are acknowledged and resolved within the required timeframe
- Respond to incidents and accidents professionally, following established protocols
Communication and Reporting
- Obtain daily route sheets from the relevant business units
- Accurately capture and maintain operational and vehicle performance data
- Prepare and distribute operational reports within required deadlines
- Log and report all incidents and unusual occurrences accurately
Fault Management and Vehicle Repairs
- Update and maintain daily records of vehicle faults in the system
- Communicate faults to relevant personnel or departments promptly
- Follow up consistently to ensure timely and effective vehicle repairs
Operational Support
- Provide support with operational activities as required
- Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders
- Adhere to company dress code and grooming standards as per Standard Operating Procedures
Housekeeping, Health and Safety
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment
- Comply with all health and safety regulations and ensure safe work practices are followed at all times
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
