Job Description
Truworths is seeking a skilled Planner to join our Buying/Planning teams, leveraging advanced merchandise systems and analytical expertise. In this role, you will focus on sales forecasting, financial planning, and strategic product management to optimize product trading. The Planner is instrumental in managing product flow from conception to store delivery, ensuring profitability and efficient store servicing. This role requires collaboration across multiple functions including distribution, store design, and supplier management.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Merchandise Buyers and suppliers to ensure effective product execution
- Utilize international systems alongside bespoke in-house tools to manage merchandise planning
- Ensure the right merchandise mix reaches the right stores at the right price and time
- Develop, implement, and control all aspects of merchandise planning to maximize sales and efficiency
Qualifications and Experience
- 3+ years of experience, preferably within fashion retail
- Relevant numerical or business-related tertiary qualification
- Experience with systems such as Oracle, ProClarity, and PLM is advantageous
