About the Role
Pepkor Vacancies is seeking a strategic and results-driven Marketing Manager to lead the CODE brand marketing function. This role is responsible for developing, executing, and overseeing comprehensive marketing strategies that enhance brand recognition, drive sales growth, and strengthen customer loyalty across all channels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Postgraduate qualification or Honours degree is highly advantageous

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • 5–7 years’ experience in marketing, including at least 3 years in a management or leadership role
  • Proven experience in apparel retail marketing
  • Strong track record in developing and executing integrated marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Experience leading and managing a multi-disciplinary marketing team
  • Expertise in digital marketing, customer insights, brand management, and communications strategy

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Execution

  • Contribute to developing the brand marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with the brand promise, vision, and business goals
  • Drive and oversee the implementation of marketing plans across all channels
  • Analyse customer research, market trends, and competitor activity to inform marketing decisions

Team & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead and mentor the marketing team to achieve strategic objectives
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including agencies and suppliers
  • Manage agency deliverables and ensure alignment with brand objectives

Campaigns & Promotions

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage the promotional calendar to meet brand and product requirements
  • Oversee advertising campaigns, including creative development and production processes
  • Ensure budget compliance and effective financial management

Digital & Visual Strategy

  • Lead the digital marketing strategy, integrating social media and innovative online campaigns
  • Oversee in-store visual merchandising to ensure consistency with the brand strategy
  • Collaborate with trading, visual merchandising, and store operations teams to ensure merchandise strategy is effectively represented

Performance & Reporting

  • Evaluate marketing initiatives and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement
  • Ensure marketing processes and systems follow company best practices and deliver measurable results
