Job Purpose
Provide excellent customer service within the Store while ensuring effective merchandising, accurate shelf price labelling, and high housekeeping standards in the designated area of responsibility.
Minimum Requirements
-
Minimum Grade 10 or NQF Level 3 with at least 1 year relevant work experience, or
-
Grade 12 with no prior related work experience

Ability to communicate in English and the dominant local language
-
Valid South African ID or valid work permit
-
Ability to perform basic calculations accurately
-
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
-
Ability to work effectively under pressure
Key Performance Areas
Customer Service
-
Advise and assist customers with product selection and general queries
-
Handle and assist in resolving customer complaints professionally
Merchandising Standards
-
Merchandise bulk stock safely in line with the Store layout plan
-
Ensure allocated areas are fully merchandised according to layouts and planograms
Housekeeping
-
Maintain a clean, safe, and obstacle-free work area
-
Ensure stock is merchandised promptly after receipt
-
Ensure customers can move safely and comfortably within aisles
-
Maintain correct shelf price labelling in the assigned area
-
Complete required checklists, including canteen and ablution schedules, while on duty
Safety (OHSA) Compliance
-
Adhere to all OHSA safety requirements, including the use of safety gear
-
Ensure racking and bulk stock are safely merchandised for customers and colleagues
-
Report safety risks or discrepancies to the Store Manager
Stock Loss Control

Report damaged or compromised stock within the area of responsibility to the Store Manager
