Position Overview
Fidelity Vacancies is seeking motivated and trained Junior Firefighters to respond to fire-related incidents, provide emergency rescue services, and support the protection of lives and property. This role involves working under the guidance and supervision of senior firefighters and officers-in-charge while gaining practical experience in firefighting, rescue operations, and fire safety management.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to fires, rescues, hazardous material incidents, and other emergency situations under supervision
• Assist in extricating casualties and providing basic medical care as directed
• Operate firefighting equipment and apparatus to manage and control fires
• Participate in fire protection duties in potentially life-threatening situations, following supervisor guidance
• Prepare for emergency incidents and protection duties under mentorship
• Take part in training drills, simulation exercises, and physical fitness programs
• Support the training of staff in firefighting theory and practical applications
• Advise on preventive and corrective safety measures
• Follow established procedures to protect people, property, and data
• Conduct basic maintenance, cleaning, and testing of firefighting equipment and vehicles
• Maintain computerized occurrence logs and departmental records
• Participate in health and safety inspections and committee meetings
• Assist in operating specialized vehicles and machinery at emergency incidents
• Support fire and safety training, inspections, and life safety education programs
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety standards and company policies

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum Grade 12 qualification
• IFSAC Accredited
• NFPA 1001 Firefighter II Certification
• Minimum 2–3 years’ firefighting experience
• Valid Code C1 driver’s license with PrDP; advanced driving advantageous
• Medically and physically fit
• Knowledge of fire prevention procedures and firefighting systems
• Hazmat experience and EMT certification advantageous
• First Aid Level 1–3
