Sales Coordinator – Cashbuild Vacancies

Job Purpose

The Sales Coordinator is responsible for driving sales through constant customer engagement, preparing accurate quotations for building plans, and ensuring efficient and cost-effective delivery services. This role also maintains merchandising and housekeeping standards to provide an excellent customer experience.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 with 5 years of related experience, or a minimum of 10 years’ work-related experience

  • Plan reading experience is advantageous

  • Ability to communicate in English and the dominant local language

  • Strong numeric skills

  • Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Computer literacy

  • Strong organizing, planning, and delegation skills

Key Responsibilities

Sales

  • Issue and follow up on quotations to generate sales

  • Manage and control special orders through the quote process

  • Read building plans accurately and prepare quotations within agreed timeframes

  • Handle telephone calls, ensure timely responses, and follow-ups

  • Conduct competitor analysis to maintain store competitiveness

  • Communicate bulk deposit transfers to customers

  • Promote loyalty programs including VIC and charge card customers

Deliveries

  • Manage an efficient delivery service and ensure correct rates are applied

  • Ensure deliveries are dispatched within required timeframes

  • Communicate delays to customers and make alternative arrangements as needed

Customer Service

  • Manage the Customer Service Desk efficiently

  • Record, follow up, and resolve customer complaints promptly

  • Ensure all customers are attended to effectively at all times

  • Maintain professional telephone etiquette

Store Standards

  • Oversee Ready for Business checklists and processes for the area of responsibility

  • Implement price changes in line with advertised prices

  • Ensure merchandising follows planograms

People Management

  • Ensure all General Assistants, Sales Advisors, and Forklift Drivers are present and performing their responsibilities

  • Provide trained backup for employees

  • Ensure staff execute daily duties according to Ready for Business and Beyond My Control processes

Safety (OHSA) Requirements

  • Ensure all safety standards are adhered to

  • Ensure employees wear appropriate protective clothing and use equipment safely

Security Awareness

  • Monitor and report suspicious people or activities inside and outside the store

  • Maintain password and information security
