Pep Vacancies – Area Manager

Area Manager

Purpose of Position:
Act as a servant leader by driving sales, reducing stock losses, managing stock, leading and developing a team of Dynamos, and maintaining a low-cost culture to achieve business goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Increase sales through exceptional customer service, maintaining world-class store standards, managing stock presentation and promotions, and ensuring correct pricing across the area.
  • Minimise stock loss by fostering a positive culture and following security, stock, and cash handling procedures within the area.
  • Manage a low-cost business by implementing efficiencies and controlling costs in line with the company’s low-cost culture.
  • Ensure all administrative duties within stores are completed on time and according to company guidelines, including overseeing area-level administration as required.
  • Lead, train, and coach a dynamic team of Dynamos, promoting the Sikhula KunYe company culture.
  • Oversee all aspects of people management within the area, providing support, direction, and recognition to team members.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 certificate.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (degree or diploma in business or retail) is advantageous.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a retail leadership or managerial role preferred.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office and/or Google GSuite).
  • Valid Code 8 manual driver’s license with willingness to travel extensively.
