Job Purpose:
Support the Store Manager in ensuring smooth store operations and exceptional service by driving sales, fostering customer loyalty, and achieving sales, profit, and compliance targets, ultimately strengthening the brand’s competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the store’s financial performance by maximizing sales through promotional activities, cross-selling, up-selling, and delivering superior customer service.
  • Oversee operational activities, including stock management, expense control, shrinkage prevention, general housekeeping, and administrative tasks.
  • Execute in-store visual merchandising to maintain brand-aligned presentation and promotional standards.
  • Support and motivate staff to achieve targets and performance goals, and manage the team effectively in the Store Manager’s absence.
  • Maintain daily work schedules in line with the Group’s labour policies, ensuring each department is appropriately staffed.
  • Implement customer service initiatives that enhance the customer experience, foster loyalty, and increase club card participation.
  • Complete all administrative duties efficiently, including time and attendance reporting and employee record submission to HR.
  • Promote the brand as the customer’s first-choice health and beauty retailer by living and driving company values.

Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience:

  • Essential: Grade 12 (Maths 50%, English 50%)
  • Essential: Relevant Retail/Business Management qualification (for external applicants)
  • Desirable: Degree in Relevant Retail/Business Management
  • Minimum 1 year experience in an Assistant Store Management role within retail/FMCG operations or completion of the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme
  • Financial management experience (budgets, P&L statements, financial ratios)
