About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Brewing Operator to join our team, responsible for ensuring optimal performance across all brewery operations while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Plant and Process Operations:

  • Operate and optimize the Brew House, Fermentation, Filtration, and Packaging (kegging and bottling) plants and processes.
  • Perform housekeeping duties in line with 5S principles and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Identify and correct unsafe work practices.
  • Support the creation and documentation of standard operating procedures, including quick-fix routines and problem resolution.

Quality Control and Analysis:

  • Conduct required quality checks and analyses, recording results accurately in the relevant information system.
  • Apply problem-solving techniques to resolve quality issues, escalating unresolved problems to BAM.

Communication:

  • Actively participate in team meetings, goal reviews, and shift handovers.
  • Record issues, problems, and improvement opportunities using relevant tools such as the gap list.
  • Maintain clear communication with team members regarding plant performance and quality matters.

Problem Solving:

  • Respond promptly to upstream or downstream triggers to prevent out-of-control process situations.
  • Apply problem-solving methods (e.g., 5Y, quick-fix routines) to identify and correct issues.
  • Collaborate with teams and contribute to skill development of fellow Brewery Technicians.
  • Demonstrate initiative, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach in an unstructured environment.

  • Taking corrective action where necessary.
  • Effective teamwork and communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Achievement-driven mindset with continuous improvement focus.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends when required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • National Diploma in Chemical Engineering or Biotechnology.
  • Completed IST in Brewing.
  • Experience in a New Product Development (NPD) process environment.
  • Ability to work shifts and adapt to flexible schedules.
