Business and Solutions Analyst – Value Logistics
Purpose of the Role
The Business and Solutions Analyst is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of partner implementations, system integrations, and new solution initiatives for Value Logistics and its customers. This role bridges business needs and technical delivery by designing, integrating, and optimising solutions that connect external partner systems to the Value Logistics processing platform using real-time API-driven integrations. The position plays a critical role in pre-sales consultancy, solution design, and hands-on project execution to support business growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design and Pre-Sales Support

Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the Value Logistics processing platform and supporting systems

Provide pre-sales technical and business consultancy in collaboration with sales and business stakeholders

Present and promote preferred technical architectures and integration approaches to optimise functionality, consistency, cost, and time-to-market

Design end-to-end integration and business process solutions in collaboration with customer, supplier, and partner technical teams
Project Delivery and Ownership

Create and manage integration project plans in collaboration with PMO resources, internal teams, and third-party providers

Initiate projects within the IT environment and secure required resources through established governance processes

Communicate approved project plans, milestones, and delivery expectations to all stakeholders

Take full ownership of project execution, including integration delivery, development coordination, testing facilitation, and implementation sign-off

Facilitate technical engagement between internal IT teams and external partner engineering teams

Oversee development activities to ensure adherence to agreed specifications and solution designs

Manage DEV and unit testing processes and prepare documentation required for approvals and go-live
Business Analysis and Process Optimisation

Document, analyse, and optimise business and operational processes prior to development engagement

Present solution recommendations and obtain business sign-off before implementation

Scope, size, document, and oversee the implementation of approved solutions, including user training where applicable
Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting

Provide weekly project status reporting to the CIO and relevant stakeholders
-
Act as a functional and technical subject matter expert to the business and external partners

Support the resolution of system incidents and operational issues as required
-
Promote standardisation, consistency, and quality across all solutions and integrations
General

Perform additional duties as assigned by the CIO
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric)
-
Proven experience delivering partner integration projects, preferably within supply chain, logistics, or retail environments

Strong project management capability with experience managing multiple initiatives concurrently

Excellent written and spoken English
Skills and Competencies

Technical solution design, specification, and development experience

Strong understanding of system integration protocols and methodologies

Experience delivering internal and external system integrations

Solid understanding of business operations and end-to-end processes

Business process analysis and optimisation expertise
