About the Role:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for targeting and securing strategic secure distribution business that aligns with the company’s ideal client and product profiles. The role also focuses on maintaining and growing the existing customer base, implementing strategic accounts for a 12-month period before handover to the retention team, and ensuring consistent revenue growth.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Senior Key Account Management and New Business Sales
- Proven experience in prospecting and winning strategic new business
- Track record of achieving new business sales targets
- Tender management experience, including sourcing information, pricing, and delivering professional outputs within deadlines
- Experience selling secure distribution solutions and presenting to C-level executives
- Skilled in maintaining and growing existing client relationships
- Experience implementing strategic accounts
- Daily reporting to the General Manager, with weekly and monthly updates as required

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and grow the existing client base, achieving monthly and annual retention targets
- Prospect for new business, develop a qualified pipeline, and convert leads into sustainable clients
- Manage relationships with existing and new clients
- Prepare and share monthly billing and financial reports with stakeholders
- Perform daily administrative duties and ensure client data is accurately maintained
- Represent the DSV brand professionally in all interactions
- Analyse sales data and report weekly to the Regional New Business Sales Manager
- Monitor competitor and industry trends and report insights
- Manage the preparation and delivery of tenders and proposals
- Create sustainable value for customers through innovative solutions
- Ensure monthly and cumulative sales targets are met
- Implement and communicate signed business across all stakeholders
- Manage client debtor days in line with company requirements
- Promote inter-departmental communication and collaboration
- Identify cross-silo solutions and work with other department heads to ensure successful partnerships
- Update and maintain client files and CRM system according to company procedures and Quality Management System
- Meet client call ratio KPIs as set by management
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by management
