About the Program:

Dis-Chem Pharmacies’ Distribution in KZN (New Germany) is seeking a skilled Code 10 Driver to join their team. The role focuses on delivering goods to customers efficiently, safely, and professionally while upholding Dis-Chem’s quality standards.

Minimum Requirements:

Essential:

• Grade 12 – Matric or Senior Certificate
• Valid Code 10 Driver’s Licence with PDP
• 2-5 years’ experience as a professional driver

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure correct products are delivered to the right store/customer at the right time
• Use the shortest and most efficient delivery routes
• Offload goods carefully to prevent damage
• Secure all shipments and equipment in the vehicle after delivery
• Maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers to improve efficiency
• Uphold professional behaviour when dealing with customers
• Report customer complaints and requests accurately to management
• Never leave the vehicle unattended during deliveries
• Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained
• Inspect the vehicle for defects and safe operational conditions before, during, and after trips
• Report accidents or incidents involving drivers or company equipment
• Adhere to South African road traffic rules and regulations
• Manage fuel card usage responsibly and ensure it is used only for the assigned vehicle
• Report delivery or collection discrepancies immediately to management and document accurately

Competencies:

Essential:

• Strong knowledge of South African road rules and regulations
• Problem-solving skills with ability to escalate issues appropriately
• Respond to customer queries promptly and professionally
• Follow procedures accurately and take personal responsibility for work quality and timeliness
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
