Job Purpose:
Ensure that Pep stores’ security systems operate optimally and are maintained to company standards. Monitor store security systems from the central in-house control room, respond to incidents promptly, and support alarm and CCTV systems to reduce losses and maintain a safe store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor all Pep store security systems from the central control room.
• Provide remote support to alarm and CCTV technicians.
• Add or update alarm and safe PIN codes as required.
• Administer in-store safe requirements and monitor fail-to-close/fail-to-open incidents.
• Update and maintain the department’s technical tracker.
• Create work orders for unresolved technical issues and escalate as needed.
• Audit store alarm and CCTV programming and system setups.
• Provide basic technical assistance for store-related alarm and CCTV issues.
• Manage technical communication channels, including relevant WhatsApp groups.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 qualification.
• PSIRA Grade B certification.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a security or technical environment.
• Experience with Patriot Monitoring Software or similar monitoring platforms.
• Knowledge of Texecom alarm systems and backend solutions (Wintex, Maintex).
• Knowledge of Hikvision systems and remote programming/monitoring.
• Understanding of networks and IT is an advantage.
• Competencies: integrity, assertiveness, active listening, cooperation, telephone etiquette, situational awareness, technical aptitude, and accuracy.
