Credit and Returns Supervisor – Value Logistics

Purpose of the Role
The Credit and Returns Supervisor is responsible for managing the end-to-end returns and credits process within the warehouse environment. This role ensures accurate administration, complete documentation, and efficient query resolution to support timely and correct processing of returns, credits, and stock adjustments.

Key Responsibilities

Proof of Delivery (POD) Management

  • Process all Proof of Delivery documentation accurately and within agreed timelines

  • Investigate, track, and resolve all POD-related discrepancies and queries

Customer & Sales Query Resolution

  • Handle customer and sales representative queries related to returns and credits

  • Ensure professional, clear, and timely resolution of all POD and return-related enquiries

Returns & Credit Processing

  • Oversee the receipt, inspection, and processing of returned goods

  • Update relevant systems and issue customer credits accurately

  • Ensure all cancelled orders are returned to stock correctly

  • Review and process driver-reported damages and returned items

  • Ensure all credits are accurate and processed within 24 hours

Inventory Support & Stock Control

  • Assist in resolving inventory variances and discrepancies

  • Support inventory control and stock adjustment processes

Stock Take Coordination

  • Actively participate in all stock takes

  • Manage, maintain, and file all stock take documentation accurately

General Warehouse Administration

  • Perform all administrative duties related to returns and credit processing

  • Maintain organised records to support audits and compliance requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience in independently managing a warehouse environment will be an advantage

Skills & Competencies

  • High level of administrative accuracy and document control

  • Strong time management with the ability to meet tight processing deadlines

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving and investigative ability

  • Solid understanding of inventory control and stock reconciliation

  • Proficiency in warehouse or ERP systems such as SAP, Syspro, or Sage

  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly when processing customer credits

  • Customer-focused mindset with a responsive and service-driven approach
