About the Program

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily distribution operations, including secondary distribution fleet and staff, to ensure timely and full delivery to customers.
  • Supervise Key Account staff, including drivers and van assistants, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain all vehicles in roadworthy condition and oversee fleet maintenance in collaboration with Route Controllers.
  • Coordinate transport arrangements and communicate with customers at store management level to ensure smooth deliveries.
  • Ensure effective product distribution to all outlets, achieving 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Control stock dispatching and maintain accountability for all stock items.
  • Manage the POD process, ensuring no outstanding PODs daily, and address challenges with staff and business process owners.
  • Handle stock shortages and claims, applying disciplinary measures where required.
  • Approve and authorize route end-cycle counts periodically to maintain accurate stock control.
  • Report all fleet-related accidents and incidents promptly to relevant departments.
  • Participate in warehouse cycle counts, reviewing processes affecting distribution and key account operations.
  • Develop and motivate delivery teams to meet customer satisfaction and delivery schedules.
  • Manage industrial relations and disciplinary procedures for distribution staff.
  • Perform other daily tasks associated with distribution management and customer service.
  • Ensure adherence to and promotion of EHS and Food Safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in warehousing and distribution within a unionized environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office and SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Results-driven with demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Ability to think creatively and handle complex challenges in a matrix organization.
  • FMCG and Food Safety distribution experience is essential.
