Fitment Quality Inspector – Fidelity Vacancies

Purpose of the Role

The Fitment Quality Inspector is responsible for managing and maintaining the quality of all fitments within Fidelity Secure Drive. This role ensures customer issues are resolved, fitments meet the highest standards, and Fidelity Secure Drive’s fitment processes are consistently upheld.

Key Responsibilities

Vehicle and Equipment Management

• Ensure vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness.
• Monitor and address traffic offences.
• Safeguard and maintain tools and equipment.
• Complete stock takes and resolve any missing stock issues.
• Ensure cell phones and devices are operational and monitor data usage.
• Maintain a clean, presentable uniform in line with PSIRA standards.

Operational Support

• Conduct on-the-job training for technicians as required.
• Attend to complaints and provide product support both onsite and remotely.
• Handle technical and client queries effectively.
• Assist with vehicle fitments and complete hardware installations to the highest quality and within required timelines.
• Repair, maintain, and install tracking systems while ensuring fitment quality.
• Support technical evaluations, repairs, and implement new fitment techniques in line with OEM guidelines.
• Apply specialised fitment techniques where required.
• Maintain personal hygiene and ensure company uniform is in good condition.
• Follow company policies and procedures and actively develop skills.
• Provide comprehensive feedback to internal stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric certificate
• Driver’s License (Code B)
• Clear criminal record
• PSIRA Grade C
• Trade test in motor electrical/electronics or similar preferred
• Auto-electrician qualification advantageous
• 6–10 years’ experience in vehicle tracking equipment fitment
