About the Role

The Flight Follower is responsible for monitoring and supporting flight operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant aircraft movements in line with operational procedures and aviation regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and track all flights to ensure accurate operational oversight.
• Review and assess weather conditions along flight routes and at destination airports.
• Provide pilots with timely weather updates and guidance regarding potential hazards.
• Notify relevant stakeholders of diversions, irregular routing, or operational disruptions.
• Maintain communication with flight deck crew when required.
• Communicate estimated time of arrival (ETA) to relevant internal and external parties.
• Capture and update flight movements on operational systems.
• Support the coordination of emergency response procedures and provide assistance to pilots and passengers when necessary.
• Manage driver schedules in accordance with operational requirements.
• Assist the Flight Operations Office with administrative and operational tasks as needed.

Job Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential).
• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience (Aviation experience advantageous).
• Willingness and ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Own reliable transport.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Fluent in English.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to identify irregularities in aircraft planned movements.
