Main Purpose of the Role

The Freight Forwarder is responsible for managing onsite forwarding operations for a key client, ensuring that all cargo is processed, booked, and shipped in line with client requirements. The role focuses on delivering efficient, accurate, and timely forwarding services while maintaining strong communication between the client, vendors, and internal teams.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and split shipments for forwarding in accordance with operational requirements
• Verify and apply client-specific rates in line with contractual agreements
• Resolve billing queries between the client and internal teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Address and manage vendor-related queries in a timely manner
• Maintain and manage operational dashboards within CargoWise
• Process credit requests where necessary, ensuring proper documentation and approval
• Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high performance standards
• Provide flexibility to work overtime when operational demands require
• Send pre-alerts to relevant stakeholders to ensure shipment readiness and visibility
• Communicate effectively with origin offices to coordinate shipment movements
• Manage the full forwarding process from initiation to completion
• Maintain and update shipment status reports accurately and consistently
• Act as the primary liaison between the client and internal teams, ensuring excellent service delivery
