Maintenance Operator Gr 2 Electrical – Sasol careers

Purpose of Job
Support the maintenance of electrical systems and equipment. Operate electrical devices and systems while accurately collecting field data to ensure optimal productivity.

Key Accountabilities

• Apply and maintain safety standards in the workplace.
• Participate in root cause analyses and provide feedback to RCA teams.
• Execute work according to planning and daily assignments.
• Attend morning meetings to discuss work tasks and progress.
• Provide regular updates to supervisors on work progress.
• Maintain housekeeping and follow waste disposal procedures.
• Identify faults using appropriate methods to ensure equipment availability.
• Attend training courses and seminars to improve competency and skills.
• Identify personal development needs and incorporate into PDP with group leader approval.
• Support business goals by meeting deadlines.
• Perform plant inspections and repairs to ensure equipment reliability.
• Provide updates to customers on work progress.
• Conduct My IMS inspections to maintain and enhance plant sustainability.
• Capture correct historical feedback to improve renewals, upgrades, and replacement of critical spares.
• Participate in toolbox talks, PDAs, and RCAs to improve plant safety and stability.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities in the work area.

Formal Education

• Matric/N3 with Maths, English & Physical Science
• CHIETA NQF Level 2

Working Experience

• 1–2+ years of relevant experience
