Receiving Manager

Pick n Pay Careers is seeking a dedicated Receiving Manager to oversee the receiving and dispatch operations in our stores. This role ensures that all deliveries are accurately received, returns to vendors are processed efficiently, and stock is managed in line with company policies while minimising shrinkage risk.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12
• 1–2 years’ receiving experience

Competencies:

• Willingness to work long and flexible hours
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
• Prepared to work in all weather conditions, as goods are received in open areas

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and return goods accurately and systematically according to company policies and procedures
• Conduct quality checks on all incoming and outgoing stock
• Maintain the cold chain for perishable items
• Ensure hygiene, housekeeping, and safe working standards are upheld
• Adhere to security procedures and assist with back-door security when required
• Prevent wastage, shrinkage, and damages
• Complete all relevant administrative tasks and documentation
• Operate equipment according to prescribed standards
• Communicate effectively with employees, management, customers, and suppliers
