Main Purpose of the Role
The Sales Representative is responsible for securing new business within the distribution and logistics market for the allocated branch. The role focuses on achieving monthly and annual new business targets through effective prospecting, pipeline development, client engagement, and cross-silo solution selling.
Job-Related Requirements

1–2 years’ new business sales experience within the transport and logistics industry

Proven experience in prospecting and developing new business opportunities

Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed new business sales targets

Experience in tender and proposal management

Exposure to selling integrated, cross-silo logistics solutions

Strong ability to develop, manage, and convert a qualified sales pipeline

Experience reporting sales activity and performance to regional management
Computer Skills

Intermediate proficiency in the full Microsoft Office Suite

Basic understanding of supply chain and logistics industry dynamics

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Secure new business within the distribution market for the allocated region

Consistently achieve monthly and annual new business targets

Prospect for new clients and convert qualified leads into sustainable, billing customers

Build and maintain strong client relationships

Manage monthly billing information and financial reporting for signed clients
-
Represent and promote the DSV brand professionally in the market

Analyse sales performance data and provide weekly reports to the Regional Sales Manager

Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and CRM records
-
Conduct competitor and industry analysis to identify opportunities
-
Assist with tender and proposal preparation, presentation, and submission

Deliver innovative, value-driven solutions tailored to customer needs
-
Ensure effective implementation and internal communication of signed business
-
Manage debtor days for signed clients in line with company requirements
-
Collaborate across departments to deliver integrated solutions
-
Identify cross-silo opportunities and engage relevant stakeholders
-
Mentor and support junior new business sales team members
-
Ensure client files are accurately maintained in line with company procedures and quality standards

Meet required client call ratios and performance KPIs

Perform additional duties as required by management
