Purpose of the Role
The Sales Representative is responsible for delivering new business in line with targets set by the organisation. This role focuses on building a strong client pipeline, driving revenue growth, and contributing to DSV’s vertical and ideal client strategy within the logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of clients aligned to DSV’s Ideal Client Profile and vertical approach
• Manage an effective daily diary to ensure productivity targets are achieved
• Deliver revenue results in line with agreed sales targets
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the logistics market
• Maintain professional relationships with clients and key stakeholders
• Engage confidently with senior management and decision-makers
• Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations
• Provide accurate sales activity and performance updates as required
Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12 / Matric (essential)
• Tertiary qualification (advantageous)
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a commercial or operational role within a logistics environment
Computer Literacy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (advantageous)
Skills and Competencies
• Strong ability to build and manage a healthy sales pipeline
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage at senior management level
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills
• Professional, well-groomed appearance
• Results-driven with strong time management skills
