About the Role:
The Senior Process Specialist is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing credit risks within DSV. This role ensures that all credit-related activities align with the company’s risk appetite and regulatory requirements, helping to minimize financial losses while supporting sustainable growth. The role involves analysing client, counterparty, or investment creditworthiness through financial statements, credit scores, and industry trends, with a strong focus on internal customer needs without compromising compliance or processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Completed or studying Credit Management, B.Com Accounting, or Financial Accounting qualifications
  • Above-average computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, CargoWise1 preferred), Cregalink, Atradius, and Experian
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable advantageous
  • Strong understanding of credit risk assessment and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and numeracy skills
  • Ability to interpret credit reports and financial documents accurately
  • Effective time management to handle multiple accounts, tasks, and reporting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team, flexible to meet deadlines

Added Advantages:

  • Experience with credit bureaus and debtors’ insurance
  • Completed course in credit risk
  • Research and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in freight forwarding/logistics and Shared Services or multinational Accounts Receivable environments
  • Knowledge of logistics business operations
  • Ability to present concise information to management

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end Accounts Receivable and Credit Risk processes in a logistics environment
  • Provide quality service to internal and external customers, ensuring KPIs are met
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, account managers, sales teams, business partners, and clients
  • Ensure compliance with finance policies, including Credit Risk and Debtors Insurance Policies
  • Administer assigned risk portfolio and oversee claims functions where required
  • Conduct ad hoc projects related to insurance, claims, and processes
  • Generate monthly reports on insurance department performance
  • Extract and analyse Experian reports and provide recommendations to control risk
  • Identify and monitor accounts posing credit risks and liaise with debtor insurers
  • Reconcile insurer data with SAP to ensure accuracy
  • Maintain client credit and insurance limits
  • Provide timely and accurate information to decision-makers
  • Adhere to month-end reporting deadlines and SLA targets

Other Duties:

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the department manager
  • Analyse financial statements and maintain impeccable ethics
  • Exhibit professional conduct, structured communication, and a level-headed approach
  • Work efficiently under tight deadlines and metrics-driven environments
