Job Purpose
Shoprite Group is seeking an experienced Stock Administrator to join the Meat Market Division at the Commercial Cold Storage in Brackenfell. This role is operational and not office-based. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all stock-related administrative functions and ensuring accurate stock control and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and manage stock sheet reports, including average weight checks
• Receive stock accurately at the cold store, ensuring GRVs reflect correct cartons and weights
• Monitor GRV hit rates and expiry date reports
• Manage delivery booking slots with cold store and suppliers
• Reconcile bulk stock drops against stock releases
• Ensure stock sheet cases booked out match release quantities
• Conduct weekly spot checks on delivery notes to verify weights and pricing
• Manage pallet utilisation and stock rotation
• Investigate weekly claims and identify slow-moving, high-volume items
• Create and maintain delivery notes using Microsoft Excel

Receiving Duties
• Match delivery note details with cold store goods received vouchers
• Submit invoices and proof of delivery to relevant parties for payment
• Support the Creditors team with receiving documentation

Issuing of Stock
• Follow up and resolve delivery note discrepancies
• Assist planning with emergency stock orders
• Perform random checks on delivery notes to control average weights charged
• Load and control weekly prices to stores

Balancing of Stock
• Set up weekly reconciliations between issued and received stock
• Maintain and update weekly stock sheets
• Perform weekly stock controls and checkpoints

Qualifications
• Grade 12 (relevant courses will be advantageous)

Experience
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in stock administration
• Experience with receiving administration and preparing stock for dispatch
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
• Experience with virtual stock distribution and quality control processes

Knowledge and Skills
• SAP knowledge will be advantageous
• Strong Excel skills
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy with figures
• Ability to work effectively within a team
