Job Description
Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) is seeking a skilled and experienced Strategic Distributor Specialist to join our Commercial Department. Reporting to the Sales Channel Lead, you will drive distributor performance, revenue growth, and operational excellence across our strategic distribution network.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Sustained Volume and Revenue Growth
- Achieve annualised volume, value, and margin targets for Strategic Distributors through disciplined revenue growth management and execution of channel strategies.
High-Performing Strategic Distributor Partnerships
- Build and maintain strong, mutually beneficial relationships with Strategic Distributors.
- Ensure alignment to the Annual Business Plan (ABP), clear performance expectations, and consistent KPI delivery.
Improved Forecast Accuracy and Stock Availability
- Provide timely, data-driven inputs for demand planning and sales forecasts.
- Minimise out-of-stocks, improve inventory health, and support On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) delivery.
Operational Excellence and Compliance
- Ensure distributors adhere to trading terms, credit policies, quality standards, health and safety requirements, and legal obligations.
- Safeguard brand integrity and business assets.
Effective Financial and Credit Management
- Optimise credit allocation and payment performance in collaboration with Finance, Credit, and Accounts teams.
- Improve cash flow and reduce financial risk.
Successful Execution of Strategic Initiatives
- Drive rollout and adoption of key initiatives, including cashless solutions, system enhancements, and new product launches.
- Enhance distributor capability, efficiency, and commercial results.
Enhanced Customer Service Levels
- Monitor distributor KPIs, resolve operational bottlenecks, and improve truck turnaround times.
- Ensure optimal stock management and product quality in trade.
Data Integrity and System Enablement
- Maintain high standards of master data integrity within ERP and ordering platforms.
- Support reliable reporting, informed decision-making, and seamless operational execution.
Skills, Experience & Education
Education
- Relevant qualification in Business Management, Logistics, Sales, or Marketing.
Experience
- 4–6 years in Commercial and/or Logistics environments.
- Proven success in Sales and/or Operations.
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office proficiency.
- ERP experience in Warehousing and Distribution advantageous.
