Job Description
Fidelity Vacancies is seeking an experienced and driven Technical Supervisor to oversee operations within the Fidelity Secure Drive division. This role is responsible for maintaining high-quality standards, managing technical teams and resources, and resolving customer-related issues. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring superior service delivery while upholding the company’s commitment to excellence in technology and customer satisfaction.
Overall Purpose of the Role
To manage technical operations, ensure quality fitment standards, support clients and technicians, and contribute to delivering reliable tracking and security solutions that exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all allocated resources, including vehicles, tools, stock, and equipment
- Ensure vehicle roadworthiness, cleanliness, and compliance with traffic regulations
- Oversee stock control, conduct stock takes, and resolve discrepancies
- Monitor operational devices and manage data usage effectively
- Ensure staff maintain proper uniform standards in line with PSIRA requirements
- Perform administrative duties including record-keeping, database updates, and reporting
- Provide on-the-job coaching and support to technicians
- Handle and resolve customer complaints and technical queries
- Deliver on-site and remote product support
- Assist with installations and ensure all fitments meet quality and timeline requirements
- Perform repairs, maintenance, and installation of vehicle tracking systems
- Maintain and improve fitment quality through implementation of best practices and OEM guidelines
- Conduct technical evaluations and support repair processes
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and professionalism
- Participate in continuous skills development and training initiatives
- Provide regular feedback to internal stakeholders on operations and performance
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Matric certificate
- Valid driver’s license (Code B)
- PSIRA Grade C registration
- Clear criminal record
- Trade test in motor electrical/electronics or similar (preferred)
- Auto-electrician qualification (advantageous)
- 6–10 years’ experience in vehicle tracking equipment fitment
