We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Area Manager Clothing to oversee the operational performance of clothing departments across corporate stores. This role is responsible for ensuring store standards, human resources, promotional execution, finance, and administration are managed effectively while driving business growth and operational excellence.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric), N3 equivalent, or Clothing degree
- 5–8 years’ experience as an Area Manager, ideally within the clothing retail sector
- Strong knowledge of merchandising principles and fashion
- Proven leadership and team-building skills
- Computer literate; SAP knowledge advantageous for reporting and analysis

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and support managers and store crew within the area
- Recruit, manage, and develop staff to maintain high performance
- Identify training needs and coach teams to achieve operational and service excellence
- Manage disciplinary actions and employee relations cases
Operational Management
- Implement strategies to drive business performance and achieve targets
- Ensure operational efficiency and compliance with company policies
- Monitor store and departmental housekeeping, visual merchandise, and backup areas
- Approve staff schedules, monitor overtime, and manage stock take processes
Merchandising & Promotions
- Ensure visual merchandising and promotion standards are executed and maintained
- Monitor new lines, total range displays, and merchandise according to dispatch guidelines
Performance Analysis & Improvement
- Analyse store performance metrics and develop actionable plans for improvement
- Monitor customer service standards and ensure consistent excellence
- Ensure all administration, trade, and operational checks align with business standards
