Role Purpose
Deliver efficient and effective commercial lines underwriting services to stakeholders, ensuring compliance with required standards and procedures. Support business strategy by retaining existing clients and securing new business opportunities.
Financial Responsibilities
- Minimize cancellations through proactive measures.
- Achieve and exceed retention targets.
Client Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate, timely, and professional communication with all stakeholders (clients, account executives, insurers).
- Build and nurture strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to achieving company and personal client satisfaction targets.
Business Process Responsibilities
- Adhere to company quality standards, processes, and regulatory frameworks, including:
- Handling general enquiries about coverage, products, and processes.
- Managing new business, renewals, endorsements, and re-broke cases.
- Ensure productivity targets are met.
- Comply with company mandates and participate in ad hoc projects.
- Maintain accurate activity records.

- Meet productivity and quality assurance targets.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
- RE5 certification.
- FAIS compliance (credits or full qualification).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- High attention to detail.
Minimum Experience
- At least 3 years as a Commercial Lines Underwriter (medium to large commercial risks).
- Minimum 3 years in a Short-Term Insurance brokerage environment.
