About the Role

Pep Vacancies is seeking a strategic and results-driven Business Manager to oversee product portfolio performance, manage key partnerships, and ensure financial targets are achieved. The successful candidate will play a vital role in developing business opportunities, driving product growth, and ensuring compliance across financial and operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure financial budgets are achieved for the financial year through effective planning and performance monitoring.
  • Develop and present business cases aimed at improving and expanding the product portfolio.
  • Work closely with Risk and Compliance teams to ensure all processes and products meet regulatory and company requirements.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and partners.
  • Collaborate with legal teams on new and existing contracts.
  • Partner with the Marketing department to develop and execute impactful campaigns.
  • Manage projects within agreed timelines while coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure all administrative responsibilities are completed accurately and on time.
  • Negotiate and confirm new products and services with partners on an ongoing basis.
  • Drive continuous improvement and growth within the product portfolio.

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification such as a BCom or Marketing degree.
  • 3–5 years of related work experience within areas such as insurance, credit, sales, loans, bill payments, fintech products, technology products, or banking.
  • Clear understanding of transactional banking products and how revenue is generated from them.
  • Experience within the payments environment will be advantageous.
  • Exposure to debit or credit card product environments will be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of the National Payments Systems.
  • Experience within the financial services industry will be advantageous.
  • Experience in stock forecasting and management for technology products.
  • Product management experience including financial analysis, business case development, and project management.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace with intermediate Excel or Google Sheets skills.
  • Project management experience will be advantageous.
