Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Senior BIM Coordinator (Water Plants) to support the execution of water plant projects as part of our Enterprise Capabilities team. This role offers a hybrid work schedule with opportunities for both office and Remote work.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- BIM Implementation Execution – Execute BIM strategies on complex international water plant projects.
- CDE Administration – Manage Common Data Environment (CDE) setups, permissions, and model configurations in ACC/BIM360 or ProjectWise.
- Multi-Discipline Coordination – Lead federated model creation, clash detection, and coordination meetings using ACC/BIM360, Navisworks, or Revizto.
- Information Management – Ensure metadata and classification codes align with asset information databases.
- Technical Support – Provide expertise in 3D modeling and data management using Autodesk (Plant3D, Revit, Civil 3D) or Bentley (OpenPlant, MicroStation) applications.
- Content Creation – Develop smart object libraries and project templates.
- Collaboration – Work closely with global BIM teams to standardize practices across regions.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of ISO 19650 and BIM standards.
- Proven experience in BIM for Water Plant projects with distributed teams.
- Proficiency in BIM software (Autodesk Plant3D, Bentley OpenPlant, Revit, Civil3D, or Advanced Steel).
- Hands-on experience with CDE platforms (Autodesk Construction Cloud, ProjectWise).
- Expertise in multi-discipline coordination, clash detection, and issue resolution.
- Solid technical skills in 3D/2D modeling for water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Understanding of water treatment processes and P&ID development.
- Familiarity with design automation tools (Dynamo, Grasshopper) is a plus.
- Demonstrated portfolio of BIM projects in water plants.
- International project experience (US, Canada, UK, Middle East, Asia preferred).
- Fluent English communication skills with strong teamwork and mentoring abilities.
Professional Qualifications:
- Degree in Industrial/Process Engineering, Civil/Architectural Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years in BIM and digital delivery, including prior experience as a BIM Manager/Coordinator.
