Pharmacy Manager – Clicks Group
Job Purpose
The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for delivering high standards of pharmaceutical care while managing the overall performance, compliance, and operational excellence of the dispensary in line with company standards, good pharmacy practice, and SAPC regulations.
Key Responsibilities

Provide exceptional pharmaceutical care through accurate and safe dispensing, including generic substitution and professional patient counselling, in line with legal scope of practice and company procedures.

Manage and control all dispensary operations, including stock management, shrinkage prevention, housekeeping, and administrative processes in accordance with SAPC regulations and company standards.

Ensure the financial sustainability of the dispensary through effective cost control, achievement of core dispensary and clinic targets, and proactive financial management.

Recruit, lead, and develop a competent and motivated team, including pharmacists, learners, and interns, through effective leadership, coaching, and continuous development.

Schedule staff in accordance with labour policies and workforce models to ensure optimal staffing levels, and ensure accurate submission of time, attendance, and employee records.

Drive customer service initiatives within the dispensary to enhance customer experience, build loyalty, and achieve customer participation targets.

Ensure strong integration and collaboration with clinic and healthcare teams to provide a comprehensive healthcare offering to customers.

Promote alignment and cohesion between store operations, pharmacy, and clinic teams.

Foster a high-performance culture that drives employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and sustainable business results.

Minimum Requirements
Experience
-
Minimum of 2 years’ experience post community service
-
At least 1 year of people management experience

Registration as a Responsible Pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council
