Job Description
The Goods Receiving Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the receipt, return, and distribution of stock from Suppliers and other Stores. This includes updating goods receiving vouchers in the system, labelling stock, and ensuring that all received stock is dispatched to the floor for merchandising efficiently and accurately.

Requirements

• Grade 12 plus 1 year of relevant experience or a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
• Ability to communicate in English and preferably the dominant local language
• Strong numeric skills
• Proven ability to deliver exceptional Customer Service
• Ability to work under pressure
• Computer literate
• Must be available to work shifts and weekends

Key Performance Areas

Receive / Inter-Branch Transfer (IBT) Stock

• Ensure a second designated Cashbuild employee is always present during stock receiving and dispatch
• Receive stock from Suppliers, verify goods, and physically match to the Supplier’s Invoice/Delivery Note and Cashbuild’s purchase order
• Complete proof of delivery notes and provide to Suppliers with required stamps
• Accurately capture stock on the IT system within prescribed time limits
• Resolve invoice discrepancies with Supplier authorisation and record truck registration numbers
• Process all IBTs (in and out) within set timeframes, ensuring no discrepancies and proper filing of documentation

Stock Distribution

• Clear stock from the GRS office and merchandise within prescribed time limits

Stock Labelling and Pricing

• Label all stock without printed SKUs with the correct SKU
• Verify SKUs on labelled stock and correct any errors
• Adhere to Cashbuild pricing policy and action pending price changes promptly

Supplier Claims and Corrections

• Validate all claims with attached Supplier pickup slips or credit notes, authorised by the Store Manager
• Ensure all corrections have proper documentation and authorisation
• Only raise Supplier claims when stock is ready for immediate collection

Security Awareness

• Never leave the receiving gate unattended
• Keep receiving stamps, Purchase Order books, and the GRS office secure at all times
• Ensure Supplier truck crews remain at their trucks and do not loiter in the store

Ready for Business

• Maintain a clean and organised GRS office
• Clear the receiving area of excess or damaged stock, except for items being returned to Suppliers
• Follow all Ready for Business and beyond my control processes

Customer Service

• Maintain the Cashbuild dress code and display name badge at all times
• Assist Suppliers and Customers with queries, providing exceptional Customer Service

Safety / OHSA Requirements

• Ensure first aid box is only accessed by authorised personnel or Store Manager
• Maintain OHSA safety compliance in all areas of responsibility
• Report any safety concerns to the Store Manager
