About the Role
The Senior Certified Aviation Technician will be responsible for carrying out advanced avionics maintenance activities to ensure the continued airworthiness, safety, and operational reliability of the fleet. This role requires extensive technical expertise, strong problem-solving ability, and strict adherence to regulatory and safety standards.

Job Description
As a Senior Certified Aviation Technician, you will be required to:

• Perform line maintenance inspections in accordance with approved maintenance programs.
• Conduct routine and scheduled inspections on aircraft avionics systems.
• Carry out fault finding, rectification, and system troubleshooting.
• Complete thorough daily aircraft inspections to identify defects and potential issues.
• Execute required maintenance tasks to ensure continued airworthiness of the aircraft.
• Adhere to all approved maintenance procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Accurately record and certify all work in compliance with SACCA legal and regulatory requirements.
• Comply with all Health and Safety standards to ensure personal safety, personnel safety, and fire and incident prevention.
• Ensure all work areas, equipment, and tooling are serviceable and safe prior to commencing any task.
• Apply analytical thinking to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
• Communicate clearly and professionally to support efficient workflow and timely task completion.

Job Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Trade Test Certificate in an avionics-related discipline, SACAA recognised.
• Licensed AME with SACAA WI, W2, and W3.
• B737-800 system courses.
• B737-8 MAX system course is advantageous.
• Oxygen course is advantageous.
• Minimum of 15 years aviation maintenance experience with proven line and SVM experience.
• Proven experience as an Aviation Technician on B737-800 avionics systems.
• Experience on B737-8 MAX avionics systems is advantageous.
• OJT experience is advantageous.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overtime when required.
• Availability to travel locally and internationally at short notice.
• Valid South African passport and driver’s licence.
• Sound understanding of technical aircraft publications and documentation, including SWPM.
• Thorough knowledge of aviation regulations and safety standards.
• Strong understanding of avionics schematic systems.
• Advanced troubleshooting expertise on B737-800 avionics systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
