Flight Follower – Job Description

• Conduct real-time flight tracking and monitoring to support operational safety and efficiency
• Monitor weather conditions along flight routes and at destination airports
• Provide pilots with timely updates and guidance on potential weather-related hazards
• Notify relevant stakeholders of diversions or irregular routing
• Maintain communication with flight deck crew during flights when required
• Manage driver schedules to support operational requirements
• Provide support to the Flight Operations office as needed
• Communicate estimated times of arrival to relevant stakeholders
• Capture and update flight movements on operational software systems
• Assist with coordinating emergency response efforts and provide support to pilots and passengers when required

Flight Follower – Job Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience
• Aviation experience
• Willingness and ability to work shifts
• Availability to work weekends and public holidays
• Own reliable transport
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Fluent in English
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure
• Excellent time management
• Ability to identify irregularities in planned aircraft movements
